4Fill
4Fill is a company that focuses on e-fulfillment and logistics solutions for web shops. They ensure that online orders are processed, stored and shipped efficiently. Within the company, the focus is on combining reliable logistics with smart technical links between web shops and warehouses.

My role within the project
For 4Fill I worked on setting up a WordPress multisite environment. In addition to the existing Dutch website, the aim was to realize a European (.eu) variant, so that both versions could be managed centrally but could have their own content and language.
Multisite configuration
I have converted WordPress into a multisite installation, so that both the Dutch and the European site can be managed from one environment. To do this, I have adjusted important configuration files, including wp-config.php and .htaccess, and the domain links set. This ensures that both sites work together smoothly within the same installation and makes management and updates a lot easier.
Multilingualism
For the .eu site I have added translation support in existing PHP files. This allows texts to be automatically translated and dynamically displayed per language version. For example, both sites retain the same structure, while each site can show its own content and language.
